The Problem We Solve

Workers' comp attorneys spend too many hours on tasks that AI can handle in seconds.

The Old Way

📄Manually reading every page of every document in a case file
Filling out DWC forms by hand, field by field
🔍Searching through stacks of paper to find a date or doctor's name
📝Drafting letters and legal documents from scratch
📅Losing track of what happened when across a long case history
🔁Manually importing documents from your case management system

With Adjudica

AI reads and categorizes documents automatically
Court forms pre-filled with answers pulled from your case documents
Ask the system a question — it answers with citations to the source
AI generates first drafts from your case files, using your templates
Visual timeline built automatically from your documents
Automatic sync with MerusCase
2

Five Core Features

Everything your team needs to process case documents faster and more accurately.

📬

Document Mailroom

Upload documents — PDFs, Word files, scanned images, even Outlook emails. The system reads them, identifies the document type, and organizes them for you.

How It Works

  • Documents are scanned using Google's Document AI — the same technology Google uses to read billions of documents
  • AI classifies each document into one of 10 major categories and 47 subcategories
  • Duplicates are automatically detected and flagged
  • High-confidence classifications proceed automatically; uncertain ones are flagged for your review

What You See

A clean inbox where documents arrive classified, organized, and ready for review. You confirm or correct the AI's classification with one click, then assign documents to the right case.

📋

AI-Powered Court Form Filling

Select a DWC form — the system reads all approved documents in the case and fills in every field it can find an answer for, with citations back to the source.

DWC-1 — Claim Form
Form 42 — Application
Form 49 — C&R
DEU 100-105
DWC 10214 Series
+ 40 More Forms

How It Works

  • Your case documents are broken into searchable pieces with mathematical "fingerprints" that capture their meaning — not just keywords
  • When a form asks a question, the AI searches all case documents for the most relevant passages
  • It generates multiple answer candidates, each with a confidence score and a citation showing exactly where the answer came from

What You See

A court form with pre-filled answers, each linked to the exact page and passage where the information was found. You review, approve, or change each answer before the form is finalized. Nothing is submitted without your sign-off.

📝

Smart Drafting

Generate legal documents three different ways — from templates, from plain-English prompts, or automatically triggered by document events.

📑

Template Drafts

Your firm creates reusable templates. When you start a new draft, the AI fills in case-specific details automatically.

💬

Custom Drafts

Describe what you need in plain English. The AI creates a first draft using your case documents as source material.

Workflow Drafts

Set rules like "when a medical report is approved, generate a summary." The system drafts it automatically.

Editing Features

  • Full rich-text editor (like Google Docs)
  • Highlight any passage and ask the AI to refine it
  • AI-written text is visually marked so you always know what the AI wrote
  • Export to PDF or Word format

Citations Built In

When the AI writes "The applicant was seen by Dr. Smith on January 15, 2025," you can click the citation to see the original document, page number, and exact quote. Every factual claim is sourced.

🗨

Case Chat

Ask any question about a case in plain English and get an answer drawn from the actual documents in the file — with citations.

You Ask
What is the applicant's current treating physician?
Adjudica Responds
Based on the medical records, the applicant's current treating physician is Dr. Sarah Chen, M.D., an orthopedic specialist at Pacific Medical Group. [Medical Report, p. 3]
You Ask
Are there any inconsistencies between the applicant's testimony and the medical records?
Adjudica Responds
Yes. The applicant's deposition states the injury occurred on March 5, but the initial ER visit report is dated March 2, three days earlier. [Deposition, p. 14] [ER Report, p. 1]
📅

Case Timeline

Automatically builds a visual, chronological timeline of every significant event in a case — medical appointments, legal filings, insurance communications, and more.

Event Categories

  • Legal — Court filings, depositions, hearings
  • Medical — Appointments, surgeries, evaluations
  • Insurance — Claims, denials, settlements
  • Communication — Letters, emails, correspondence

What You Can Do

  • Zoom in on specific date ranges
  • Filter by event type
  • Search by keyword or meaning
  • Click any event to see the source document
  • Export to PDF for depositions or hearings

How We Keep Your Data Safe

Data security is not optional in legal practice. Here is how Adjudica protects your clients' information.

🔒

Login Security

Email/password login with optional two-factor authentication — the same kind banks use. Email verification required.

🏢

Firm Isolation

Each law firm's data is completely isolated. No one at another firm can see your cases — ever.

👥

Role-Based Access

Three roles: Admin (full access), Attorney (cases + drafting), Clerk (documents). Only attorneys can publish.

🔐

AES-256 Encryption

All sensitive data encrypted at rest using the same standard used by the U.S. government for classified information.

🗒

Full Audit Trail

Every action is logged: who did what, when, from where. Available for compliance reviews at any time.

Session Timeouts

Sessions automatically expire after inactivity. Compliant with SOC 2 security standards.

Permission Matrix by Role

Capability Admin Attorney Clerk
View cases and documents
Upload and manage documents
Use AI chat and form filling
Create and edit drafts

The AI Under the Hood

We use two AI providers with automatic failover — if one goes down, the system switches to the other seamlessly.

Primary

Google Gemini

Main AI engine. Handles document reading, form filling, chat answers, and classifications.

Secondary

Anthropic Claude

Backup and specialized tasks. Excels at complex drafting and nuanced legal writing.

🟢 Google Gemini 🟡 Anthropic Claude Automatic failover — your team never notices the switch
5

The Glass Box Promise

"From Black Box to Glass Box." Unlike opaque AI tools, every answer in Adjudica is transparent and verifiable.

📎

Every Answer Is Cited

See the exact document name, page number, and passage for every piece of information the AI provides.

📊

Confidence Scores

The AI tells you how certain it is about each answer, so you know where to focus your review.

👥

Human Review Always Required

No document is finalized without attorney sign-off. The AI suggests — you decide.

🎨

AI Content Is Visually Marked

In the editor, AI-generated text is highlighted so you always know what the AI wrote vs. what a human wrote.

🔢

Multiple Candidates Presented

For form fields, you see all possible answers the AI found — ranked by confidence — and choose the right one.

You Can Always Override

Every AI-generated answer, classification, and draft can be edited, corrected, or rejected entirely.

6

Integrations & File Support

Works with the tools and file formats your firm already uses.

Glossary

Technical terms explained in plain English.

AI / Artificial Intelligence
Software that can read, understand, and generate text — like a very fast reader that can summarize, answer questions, and write drafts.
OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
Technology that reads text from images or scanned documents — turning a photo of a page into searchable, copy-able text.
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
The method our AI uses: first it searches your documents for relevant passages, then generates an answer based on what it found. This is why every answer has citations.
Semantic Search
Search that understands meaning, not just keywords. Searching for "surgery" also finds "operative procedure" or "surgical intervention."
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
An extra security step at login. After your password, you enter a code from your phone. Even if someone steals your password, they can't get in.
AES-256 Encryption
The gold standard for data encryption, used by banks, government agencies, and the military. Your data is scrambled so only authorized systems can read it.
SOC 2 Compliance
A security certification meaning the system meets strict standards for handling sensitive data — including session timeouts, audit logs, and access controls.
Failover
When one system goes down, another automatically takes over. Like having a backup generator — you never lose power.
Multi-Tenant
Each law firm's data is completely separate and isolated from every other firm, even though they share the same application.
Confidence Score
A percentage that tells you how certain the AI is about an answer. Higher scores mean the AI found strong, clear evidence in your documents.
